Copy not cat but Christ

Imitate me, just as I also imitate Christ. —1 Corinthians 11:1

As we sat at the table one day last week, my oldest son began protesting about his little sister “always” copying him. When she imitates his laugh or eats her French fries before her burger like he does, it annoys him. My wife and I tried to get him to realize that he has an opportunity to influence her by setting a good example.

Unlike my son, Paul invited others to copy his example (1 Cor. 11:1). In this verse, he concluded his discussion from chapter 10 about the Corinthians loving others enough to limit their freedom. He said that when they were invited to a nonbeliever’s home for dinner, they were free to eat what was set before them (v.27). But if their freedom to eat the meat offered to idols caused another believer to question whether or not what they were doing was right, they were to limit their freedom for the good of the “weaker” believer (v.28).

Paul encouraged the people to follow his example in this matter, in the same way he followed Christ’s example. Paul did not seek his own good, but the good of others by imitating Jesus’ example of love, unity, acceptance, and sacrifice.

In the same way, we are to follow Jesus’ example so closely that we can say with confidence to our brothers and sisters, “Copy me as I copy Christ.” —Marvin Williams

Show me the way, Lord, let my light shine
As an example of good to mankind.
Help them to see the patterns of Thee,
Shining in beauty, lived out in me. —Neuer

Live a life worth imitating by imitating Christ.

Phew.. Thank God for the strength and sustenance during my 3 hour recording yesterday for the kindergarten concert... Mum dragged me to this massage bed thingy, which is quite cool.. And relaxing... My chest aches are minimizing, I can sleep throughout the night without waking up.. I think it's coolness and great.. It's free to use as long as you want, as long as your conscience allows.. haha, anyway, its a cool way to publisize, by word of mouth.. And for people who cant afford, well, health maintenance is for everyone.

Today will be my 3rd day of treatment.. According to mum, it should start taking effect which includes losing weight, health conditions improving.. And body achings.. Coz too much problems = many part of body aching after massage.. You guys should check it out, www.ceragem.net..

Ahhh.. Zoo trip cancelled.. Which means i get to rest more =) Thank God.. Need to pray for children in all kindergartens.. HFMD seemed to be coming around again.. And for people who got it before, like moi, has to watch our health..

I seemed to enjoy cooking more.. Feels weird eating out, and all the money used to buy food floods my head... hur hur.. Why i waste so much money????anyway, realised i hate saba fish... So many bones -_-...

Thought about today's devotions. I realised when i "scold" my children, i often asked them, do you see Ms Cynthia doing this or that? And im so glad they say no.. Phew, dont want to be stumbling them.

I love my kiddos... Im so gonna cry when they leave kindergarten to go primary.. hur hur... Think too much... Gotta go get breakfast cooked and eaten...

It's a great day to praise the Lord!
